- Measuring moisture in the air (Humidity)
- Measuring moisture in the walls, ceilings etc. to locate any sources of mold growth
- Taking biological surface samples of any visible mold
- Taking air samples in areas of concern. A standard inspection would be two indoor air samples and one outdoor air sample. The outdoor air sample establishes a reference or baseline for what normal mold levels should be for the indoor areas.
